Sam Sauvage won the Male Revelation Victory on February 13th with this song. He dedicated his victory to all musicians, of any age, who have a dream and strive to achieve it.

His childhood dream was to break out of anonymity and indifference after playing in the streets and restaurants for ten years. With his first remarkable album, “Ladies and Gentlemen, Listen to Me!” Sam Sauvage simply says, “Ladies and gentlemen, listen to me!”

While most boys his age try to make a name for themselves in rap, Sam Sauvage took a different path with his dandy outfit, flashy socks, and messy hair. His debut album combines new wave bangers and thoughtful songs with a touch of Stromae and Brel. Theatrical voice, engaging stage presence, northern origins – Sam Sauvage is from Boulogne sur Mer and proud of it.

On this album, one track stands out from his male colleagues, “It’s Raining Women,” a song about femicide written by a young man. It’s rare and noteworthy for a young man to be so sensitive to his surroundings: the migrant crisis, romantic relationships, teenage unhappiness, and the climate crisis.

You can catch Sam Sauvage live near you soon: from 06/03 in Saint-Avé, Orléans, Nantes, Lyon, Tourcoing, to La Cigale in Paris on 31/03, Printemps de Bourges on 16/04, and Francofolies de la Rochelle on 14/07.
