The Minister of Science and Technology, Nguyen Manh Hung, recently shared his views with Vietnamese technology companies, emphasizing that technology is considered the foundation of all industries, contributing to increasing labor productivity and achieving double-digit growth in Vietnam.
Minister Nguyen Manh Hung and the delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology visited and presented technological products by MK Vision joint stock company.
“On behalf of the Ministry of Science and Technology, I would like to thank companies for choosing the most challenging path: developing core technologies, creating products, building platforms, and undertaking actions that must be ahead of the market and the understanding of society,” said the Minister.
“For a country to progress quickly and go far, it needs a force that dares to venture into unknown territory. This force is the Vietnamese technology sector,” Minister added.
“Together, we will examine how much the world is changing, where Vietnam stands, and what role Vietnamese technology companies must play in this new era,” Minister emphasized.
“The times have changed: technology is no longer a separate sector, but the foundation of all sectors,” he highlighted. “For many years, information technology and digital technologies have been considered two distinct fields. This is no longer the case. Technology has become the infrastructure for all socio-economic activities, much like electricity and roads. Many believe that ‘AI is the new electricity’ to emphasize its generalization across all sectors,” Minister continued.
“Not only does AI automate work, but it also redefines value creation. It transitions the world from the ‘software on-demand’ era to the ‘software controlled by agents’ era – AI agents capable of setting goals, planning, coordinating, verifying, optimizing, and executing tasks autonomously. It is a true revolution,” Minister elaborated.
“As the operating system evolves, the question is no longer ‘should we use AI?’ but ‘should we reorganize the economy based on AI?’,” he pointed out.
“I hope that companies will embody three qualities: Dare to think big; Dare to move fast; Dare to unite because no single company can build a national technological power,” Minister concluded.
