Inscribed in the theme “Sciences & Society” of the institution, this open day will take place at the Maison de la Recherche in Aix-en-Provence on April 15th, from 9am to 7pm.
Researchers, professionals, students, associative actors, and citizens are invited to exchange ideas around disability, “from academic research to field actions”. The event will focus on inclusion and neurodevelopmental disorders, addressing life paths.
Highlights of the event include a plenary conference on autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Several roundtable discussions will explore inclusion in schools and universities, as well as the artistic performance of the disabled body. The national initiative Atypie-Friendly, aimed at promoting the success of students with neurodevelopmental disorders, will also be presented through experience sharing.
The program will feature numerous testimonies, including a segment dedicated to music and music therapy, featuring autistic musicians. At the end of the day, the film “Voir (without eyes)” by Marie Mandy will be screened followed by a debate with the director. An exhibition dedicated to caregivers will complement the event. The conferences, open to the general public, will be translated into sign language. Speakers will be available to answer questions.
