Over time, the Guerlédan International Tournament (TIG) has become a reference between Côtes-d’Armor and Morbihan. A few figures testify to this success: more than 3,500 budding footballers expected, nearly 1,000 caring volunteers, and ten selected sites nestled in the heart of Brittany.
Huit formations à Loudéac
The Louis-Chevé stadium, in Loudéac, will be one of these open-air theaters. The venue will host, this Saturday, June 13, two groups of eight teams: one for the U12 category with the presence of Palmarela FC Marrakech (the Moroccans, moreover, played a friendly match against the Tangos this Thursday evening) and Le Havre AC. The U13 boys from Loudéac OSC will challenge at home, in particular, FC Porto in the other group.
Jean-Marc Le Faucheur and Erwan Leray are the TIG representatives at Loudéac OSC. They will be able to count on 90 volunteers at the Louis-Chevé stadium.
« L’organisation doit ªtre millimétrée »
“We know that we have no room for error!” confides Erwan Leray who will lead a team of 90 volunteers, from the driver to the translator, including the cooks… “As soon as one edition is over, we plan for the next one by holding meetings at the during the year. The organization must be precise. Depending on Saturday’s results, we will know the teams who will play at Loudéac on Sunday morning,” adds one of the TIG referents at LOSC.
The U13 guys from LOSC are ready for the TIG. Maël Hervé’s protégés will face, in particular, the prestigious FC Porto during the qualifying phase.
An inclusive tournament
Then everyone will head to Faubourg de Verdun, in Pontivy, for the final stages. The TIG is much more than a tournament; it allows us to create lovely memories together while confronting other cultures. The U13 girls of LOSC, who will play in Pluméliau against PSG and Saint-Étienne among others, will host Messines while the boys will host Le Havre, no doubt just to share a little more this weekend. “It’s an inclusive event too. 20 people with disabilities, in collaboration with Adapei 22, will help us run smoothly in LoudéacÂ,” concludes Erwan Leray.
