Morocco, under the leadership of King Mohammed VI, promotes ambitious South-South cooperation based on balanced, sustainable, and mutually beneficial partnerships, breaking away from dependency. In a context of global rebalancing, the Kingdom emerges as a key player in dynamics between Southern countries. As the guest of honor at the 11th Summit of the Organization of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS) held in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea from March 27 to 29, Morocco, represented by Nasser Bourita, affirmed its strategic role on the international stage.

“This symbolic distinction marks the recognition of Morocco’s continued commitment to African, Caribbean, and Pacific countries. Economically and agriculturally, Morocco stands out for its support for food security in Africa, providing over 200,000 tons of fertilizers in 2022 and 364,000 tons at preferential rates, as well as to the Caribbean,” according to Minister Nasser Bourita.

Morocco advocates for strengthening the OACPS to promote a fairer global economic order, implementing this vision since 1999 through sustained cooperation with over 1,607 signed agreements and 52 royal visits to Africa, as well as strong human commitment through the training of over 19,400 foreign students and more than 40,220 laureates from partner countries.
