The first part of the 16th edition of the International choral festival in Aveyron, organized by Choral Events, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2027, will begin its summer tour on Sunday June 28 à 18 h, en l’église Saint-Martin à Saint-Rome-de-Tarn.
Remember that Choral Events is a 1901 law association based in the Var in operation since 1997, an events agency, specializing in the organization of services for choirs, orchestras and folk groups. Since its creation, Choral Events has transported more than 800 groups.
The first stage of the 2026 international festival will feature the Palissader Chamber Choir (South Africa). One of South Africa’s finest chamber choirs, soul music. A commitment to this musical genre which has its roots in African-American gospel music and rhythm and blues. A performance which engages the audience not only musically, but also intellectually and emotionally through programs linked by central themes.
Beyond a choir concert, it is a spiritual experience for its listeners.
Following this first in the homeland of Mgr Affre, the festival continues Monday June 29 at 9 p.m., at the church of Verrières and Tuesday June 30 at 9 p.m., at the Sainte-Eulalie church in Sainte-Eulalie-de-Cernon.
The choral festival in Aveyron will see around ten municipalities welcoming two international groups in the days and weeks to come.
