The Lycée Professionnel International Lautréamont continues its rise on the European scene. By winning the final of the FICAHT 2026 international competition in Dublin, the establishment won a third consecutive title in this prestigious competition dedicated to the hotel, catering and tourism professions. A remarkable performance which rewards the commitment of the students, their teachers and numerous professional partners.
From June 15 to 17, Dublin welcomed the best teams from establishments specializing in hospitality and tourism.
International competition at the highest level
Organized each year in a different country, the International Forum of Culture and Art in Hospitality and Tourism (FICAHT) constitutes one of the major events in European professional training. The competition tests the technical, relational and organizational skills of candidates through exercises combining cooking, service, communication and teamwork. The objective: to promote professional excellence while promoting exchanges between establishments in different countries. The 2026 edition brought together particularly experienced competitors from several European nations. In a very tough context, every detail counted and the differences between the best teams remained minimal until the end of the tests.
Two students to wear the colors of Lautréamont
To represent the Tarbes establishment, two final year students defended the colors of the high school: Maëlys Rohart, in professional baccalaureate in bakery and pastry, and Chloé Leintesjoskt, in professional baccalaureate in cooking. Both had an additional advantage in this competition organized in Ireland. During their final year, they completed their training period in a professional environment in this country. An experience which allowed them to develop a better knowledge of the local culture as well as an appreciated ease in an international environment. Facing very high-level teams, the two candidates demonstrated their ability to adapt to the requirements of the competition and meet the expectations of a particularly attentive international jury.
Rigorous preparation led by the teaching team
Behind this new victory are several months of preparation and in-depth educational support. The candidates benefited from the work of Philippe Strub, service and English teacher in the European section. His expertise in the areas of professional communication and international openness constituted a central element of the preparation. At his side, Florent Garcia, physical education and sports teacher, was heavily involved in supervising the students. His intervention focused in particular on stress management, team cohesion and mental preparation, dimensions that have become essential in this type of competition where pressure is permanent.
Determining support from professionals
This collective success is also based on the commitment of several recognized professional partners. The Meilleur Ouvrier de France Fromager Dominique Bouchait made his contribution to the project. The video which allowed the high school to qualify for the final had in fact been produced around its recent creation, the César Régalis. Another strong support comes from the Meilleur Ouvrier de France, Maître d’hôtel Bruno Casassus. His advice and support helped to motivate the students throughout their preparation. These collaborations illustrate the close links maintained by the school with professionals in the catering and hotel and catering trades.
A performance praised by the jury
Throughout the competition, Maëlys Rohart and Chloé Leintesjoskt demonstrated remarkable technical mastery, but also a great capacity for adaptation and constant professionalism. Their performance highlighted the values held by the Lycée Professionnel International Lautréamont: high standards, commitment, team spirit and international openness. In a competition where differences sometimes come down to a few details, these qualities allowed the representatives of the establishment to distinguish themselves until the final victory.

A consecration that goes beyond the scope of the competition
Beyond the result obtained in Dublin, this success rewards several months of work, training and personal investment on the part of both students and teachers. This new victory also confirms the quality of the training provided within the school in the areas of food, hotels and catering. It also testifies to the international influence acquired over the years by the establishment.
For students engaged in these professional sectors, this type of success constitutes a concrete example of the prospects offered by training focused on excellence and European openness.
A feat that places Lautréamont among the European references
With this third consecutive title in the FICAHT international competition, the Lycée Professionnel International Lautréamont achieves a rare performance. Few establishments can claim such consistency at the highest level of an international competition. This victorious series helps to permanently establish the name of the establishment among the European references for professional training in the hotel, catering and food sectors. A source of pride for the entire educational community, for the partners who support students throughout their journey, but also for the region. Three consecutive victories which illustrate the vitality, ambition and international openness of an establishment resolutely focused on Europe.
