Artificial intelligence has burst onto the table of G7 heads of state. By requiring the Anthropic company to block access to its latest artificial intelligence models, Mythos 5 and Claude Fable 5, to foreign nationals due to threats to national security, the Trump Administration has unleashed a geopolitical and technological bomb. Unable to distinguish users according to their nationality, Dario Amodei, CEO of Anthropic, announced last Friday that he was completely cutting off access to these two models.
Even before this explosion which reveals the urgency of questions of technological sovereignty and dependence, the French presidency of the G7 had planned a working meeting between heads of state and big tech bosses.
