“The biggest editorial team in the world.†With a pinch of mischief, this formula well sums up our editorial ambition. Because by reading the foreign press every day, the journalists in our editorial team offer you another look at the news: the articles we write and those we translate tell the world from multiple points of view, from all countries, on all continents.

In dense and complex international news, we are keen to decipher and popularize the major geopolitical issues through press reviews, but also reports, analyzes and opinions spotted by us in the international media: for example on the war waged by Israel and the United States in Iran and the conflict in Lebanon, on the crazy race started by the AI giants, but also on the 2026 Football World Cup or even on developments in romantic, friendly and family relationships.

This weekend, we’re breaking the lock, and you can read all of our articles for free. If you don’t know where to start, here are some reading recommendations that are among our favorites of the year.

🤰 I have always been suspicious of men… and I found out that I was pregnant with a boy

In an article in the British daily The Guardian translated by International mailthe British novelist Imogen Crimp delivers an intimate and political testimony. Although she loves her partner, she explains that she has developed a distrust of men: “Groups of guys singing sexist chants in student bars [aux hommes] practicing gaslightingFrom those who abruptly stop responding or send unsolicited photos on dating apps, my interactions with men – like those of many women – were often negative.

But when she learns that she is pregnant with a boy, the author is forced to change her relationship with masculinity.

💡 “Tout s’explique† : nos décryptages sur un point précis

In the ocean of new information that floods in every day, we are taking the position, with our new explanatory format, of answering simple questions in the most succinct way possible. Here are some of the questions we’ve been answering lately:

💠The philosophical pill. The discreet art of living without friends

Each week, we translate a post written in the first person, from the foreign press, and which raises questions about our modern condition based on literary, scientific and philosophical works.

One of them particularly caught your attention this year: that of Lloyd Evans in the columns of Spectator, British conservative weekly, in which he dissects with sharp composure the way in which the absence of friends can turn into a social strategy.

🇫🇷 Little stories from France… seen from abroad

Did you know that, of the 32 million inhabitants that France had in the first half of the 19thecentury, some 20,800 people would have been buried alive in the space of thirteen years? Had you noticed that cancoillotte, an inimitable liquid cheese from Franche-Comté, was the subject of a surprising international craze? Do you know Gilles Bertin, French singer and musician, who is also famous for having stolen the equivalent of 2.6 million euros in 1988? All these stories, and many others, can be found in our new event, the Little Stories of France:

â–¶ï¸ Vidéo : une enquête de CNN told from the inside

Knowing foreign media and being interested in the way they work is an integral part of the DNA of International mail. This is why we contacted CNN when the American channel revealed, at the end of March, the existence of a platform on which men from all over the world exchange advice on how to drug and rape their partners.

Our video team met Saskya Vandoorne, head of the Paris office of CNNwhich goes behind the scenes of this vast investigation into the Motherless site, quickly nicknamed the “world rape academy”.

💊 “True or false†Â: answers about our health

In the health section, perhaps you have seen the first episodes of our new show, True or False, which answers (good) questions we ask ourselves about our body, about the diseases it can catch and about its ability to resist them. Here are some examples of very concrete articles, to read or reread:

âš½ï¸ Soccer. The World Cup that everyone will hate

Many of you have read this article from Guardian published on April 20 on our site. After the price of the tickets and that – “revolting†– shuttles to go to American stadiums during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, a journalist from Guardian denounces the consequences of the financial model of Fifa which proves “his shameless greed and contemptâ€.

Throughout the competition, you can follow our live coverage of the big and small stories that make the World Cup so exciting.

â ¤ï¸ Modern Love, the cult column from the “New York Times†on love, translated into French

This is one of the most anticipated events on our site: every Sunday, we publish an article from Modern Love, the column on the love of New York Timestranslated into French.

“After kissing one man for twenty years, I kissed eleven in one month…Â: here, for example, is a title that is difficult to resist. To discover (or rediscover) this episode which is not lacking in spice, it’s here:
