Guest on the set of the British show « Good Morning Britain ” broadcast on ITV, Jenas candidly described the scandal’s devastating impact on his career and family life, while admitting to having abused his authority.
He said: “I lost everything, basically: my job, my family, everything was taken away from me. I am not here to determine the sanction, but this is the consequence of my actions. But, beyond my own feelings, I thought of my children, I thought of Ellie and what they endured. It was difficult for me, it was difficult for them, and it remains difficult, so I focused all my energy on protecting them. HAS”
Asked about possible direct apologies to the recipients of his messages, Jenas reaffirmed having assumed his responsibilities from the start: “I always apologized. I apologized to everyone involved, whether the women I was writing to or those who wrote to me.
As for sitting in front of them, I didn’t have that opportunity and I understand that: you have to respect a duty of care in this kind of situation.
I was in a position of authority in my role, in my work, and that was something I shouldn’t have done; it was also a marital affair. More than anything, I had to apologize to my wife for all of this. HAS”
