Membership facilitates the growth of the airline and its international partnerships
TORONTO, June 08, 2026–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Porter Airlines has officially joined the International Air Transport Association (IATA) as a member. This milestone is a testament to the airline’s rapid growth and increasing integration into the global aviation community.
The full membership follows the successful completion of IATA’s Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) for its Embraer E195-E2 fleet in February 2026. These achievements mark a significant step forward in Porter’s evolution as a carrier with ambitions growing on an international scale.

IATA membership gives Porter a formal voice that contributes to global aviation standards and policies alongside the world’s leading carriers and provides a platform that will help facilitate relationships with international partner airlines, paving the way for more interline and codeshare partnerships.
Porter joins more than 370 airlines in the IATA community, an organization that represents more than 80% of global air traffic. In doing so, it currently partners with 15 airlines in North America, Europe and Asia-Pacific, allowing passengers to connect with a single itinerary and enjoy reciprocal loyalty benefits with select carriers.
