A responsible American to declare on the channel CNNOn Saturday June 6, new Iranian drone attacks were recorded above the Strait of Hormuz, a sea route clogged with numerous commercial ships blocked in international waters.

Although the source claimed that the army intercepted the Iranian drones and shot down threeconcerns about the danger Iran poses to world trade have increased.

According to this statement,Iran not only closed the strait, thereby withholding around 20% of the world’s oil supplies from international markets, while interrupting the flow of liquefied natural gas and fertilizers essential to the global economy, but it also began attacking merchant ships using drones while leading attacks described as hysterical and unjustified against countries in the region.

Consequences of aggression for the world

Tehran has kept the Strait of Hormuz closed since last March and has already started to implement aPersian Gulf Straits Authority in order to impose taxes and licenses on ships passing through it.ÂDe plus, several attacks on commercial ships and the laying of mines have been documented, causing serious damage to trade and the global economy.

Brent prices have climbed to between $100 and $120 per barrel, recording daily increases of nearly 2% with each new aggression or escalation attributed to Iran, leading to an unprecedented rise in energy and transportation costs.

The losses suffered by the global economy as a result of Iranian actions have caused a serious energy crisis in Europewhich depends on imports of liquefied natural gas from Arab Gulf countries, particularly Qatar, whose ships must pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

It has also led to rising gas prices in Europe and a sharp decline in strategic reserves, as well as forecasts of slowing economic growth and risks of recession in Germany, Italy and the United Kingdom, while inflation has exceeded 5% in some countries.

Overall, global growth indicators have fallen to 2.8% or less, according to the OECD, while recession risks in China, India and Korea have also increased due to rising costs.

Likewise, a large part of the world’s population has been affected by rising fuel and electricity prices due to supply shortages and the paralysis of international shipping caused, according to the text, by Iranian actions in the Strait of Hormuz.

Continuation of the Iranian offensive

As the United States works with mediators to contain the current crisis and end military action which they carried out jointly with Israel against Iran – which, according to the text, responded with serious attacks against most Gulf countries –Tehran continued its attacks against the Gulf Arab states.

The most recent series of attacks, which targeted civilian installations, took place in Kuwait. According to the text, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps launched ballistic missiles and drones against Kuwait International Airport, in particular against Terminal 1, causing the death of one person and injuring around 63 people, according to official data from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Health.

The airport suffered considerable damage which forced the total closure of air traffic, also affecting vital infrastructure, diplomatic missions and commercial operations, with direct repercussions on the global economy.

As since the start of the war at the end of February, Iran claimed that its attack targeted the Ali Al Salem air base, which houses American forces, in response to American strikes against the island of Qeshm aimed at ending Iranian control over the Strait of Hormuz. However,The statement maintains that the facts indicate a terrorist attack against civilians and against Kuwait’s main airport.

Kuwaiti Defense Ministry spokesperson Brigadier Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi said that “several enemy drones attacked the terminal of Kuwait International Airport,” which had just reopened a few days before after being closed for months due to the war between Iran, the United States and Israel and its regional repercussions.

According to the spokesperson, Iran prevented the return to normal after the reopening of the airport and launched destructive and unjustified attacks that damaged the main terminal. He also claims that the regional and international community rejected Iranian denials, while Tehran tried to dissociate itself from the incident.

For its part, the United States Central Command indicated in a statement that “Iranian drones were responsible for the deliberate, reckless and unjustified attack on the civilian airport in Kuwait”.

The attack on Kuwait was the third launched from Iran in just a week. Kuwait had repelled previous attacks, which led it to expel Iranian diplomats in response to these attacks, in a context where the region and the international community are trying to put an end to the escalation and open a new era of peace, stability and calm.

Un responsable régional a déclaré à l’agence Associated PressThat Iran is trying to impose its influence by force during negotiations to extend the ceasefire with the United States through this type of attacks, which endanger the lives of civilians in neighboring countries and affect trade and the global economy.
