PONSSON TO REVERSE THE TREND?

The man in form at the start of the season is Christophe PONSSON (BMW Team MDS). Thanks to his double on the Gers track, #23 takes the lead in the championship and is now 11 points ahead of Kenny FORAY (Tecmas BMW Motorrad).

Another driver to watch closely: Hugo CLERE (Tati Team AVA6 Honda). His thirst for victory is confirmed race after race. Fighting with PONSSON during the two races at Nogaro, CLERE could well reshuffle the cards at Pau Arnos.

We will also have to count on the TWR clan. Grégory LEBLANC (BMW TWR) and Matthieu GREGORIO (BMW TWR) remain in the match and could well shake up the hierarchy.

In the Superbike Production category, Noan VASTA (Yamaha Team 113 VR42 CER) continues his excellent start to the season and widens the gap in the championship. Behind him, Roméo MICHAUD (Junior Team LMS Suzuki) takes 2nd place in the provisional ranking, while Benjamin COLLIAUX (Honda Team 113 VR42 CER) remains on the lookout and is determined to play spoilsport.

FIGHTING AT ALL LEVELS

In Supersport, one question remains: who will be able to stop the supremacy of Mathieu GINES (Team RELOU by 41 Performance Feroce Graphics)? Loïc ARBEL (Yamaha CMS) today seems to be his most serious rival. With two podiums in Nogaro and an increasingly convincing pace, he intends to play for victory this weekend. For their part, Diego PONCET (Dafy-Rac41-Honda) and the reigning Champion Bartholomé PERRIN (TWR) continue to progress and could find in Pau Arnos more favorable terrain for their ambitions. On the Supersport Production side, Killian ROSSIGNOL (Des-Rac41-Honda) takes control of the championship after his two victories at Nogaro. But Benjamin CAILLET (Des-Rac41-Honda) intends to challenge this position from this round.

In the Yamaha Challenge 700, Evann PLAINDOUX (Yamaha De La Vega Motorsport – Michelin) maintains the advantage in the provisional standings. But the competition remains strong with Arthur MASSY (Yamaha C2M – Michelin), Livio MIRABEL (Yamaha Guerrero Racing Team – Michelin) and Amaury MIZERA (Yamaha 2VS Racing Team – Michelin), all capable of reshuffle the cards.Â

In the Moto 4 Objectif Grand Prix by MOTUL category, the fight remains particularly close. Antoine NATIVI (Honda – Pirelli) retains the lead in the championship, but Johann DUBOIS (KF78 Racing Team – Pirelli) is gradually getting closer. Evan BOXBERGER (Honda – Pirelli) provisionally completes the top 3. In Pre-Moto 4 and Moto 5, Marceau MARGRIN (Erdog Team GP Park) and Sacha FIEVET (Team GP Park) continue their solid start to the season and maintain control of their category. But halfway through the championship, nothing is decided yet.

Finally, the sidecar drivers of the French Championship continue to offer a first-class show. The PAYNE / ROUSSEAU duo had the perfect weekend in Nogaro, which allowed them to regain the lead in the ranking. But this weekend promises to be busy for them: the #45, just like several duos are entered both in FSBK and in the FIM Sidecar World Championship, contested at this Pau Arnos round. A double card to play therefore.
