Footgolf is this sport which, as its name suggests, mixes both football and golf. A nice concept on paper, except when the French start practicing it.
Footgolf is on bad feet with Florian Warsemann
You may not know it, but the fifth edition of the Football World Cup was held in Acapulco, Mexico. A discipline that has been favoring our country for several years, given that the French team is quite simply the double reigning team winner. Yes, but there you have it, until this month of June, we could still boast of having never tainted the slightest individual world title. An exception which has just been brushed aside by a certain Florian Warsemann.
Yet led into an unbreathable duel against the Argentinian Gonzalo Novosad, Warsemann finally had the last word with a small lead over his opponent. The Frenchman offers his country the first international individual footgolf title. Hoping it’s the last one too.
We will console ourselves with the fourth place of José Guerra in the Senior Plus category, one shot from the podium.
