The French group Accord Bio takes a new step in its international development with the launch of Naturespan in Mauritius. Supported by the Mauritian group Chemtech, established locally for more than 40 years, this new concept combines specialized organic distribution, e-commerce and well-being support in a market that is still poorly structured but growing strongly.

From July 2026, the first three stores will open in Grand Baie, Tamarin and Telfair (Moka), supplemented by an e-commerce platform covering the entire island as well as a centralized logistics warehouse. The project represents an overall investment of 29.5 million Mauritian rupees.

Un modèle intégré centré sur le bien-être

As a member of the Accord Bio network, Naturespan benefits from direct access to a portfolio of specialized French suppliers as well as the group’s know-how in independent organic distribution. The brand will offer more than 3,300 certified bio referenceswith an offer designed around a global customer journey combining products, advice and prevention. Beyond the stores, the concept also includes restaurant areas, a food truck, naturopathy consultations and, ultimately, the development of local production. Each point of sale will welcome a naturopath to offer personalized support to consumers. In a context marked by rising concerns related to health and well-being, Accord Bio intends to respond to a growing demand from Mauritian and expatriate consumers, while the local offer still remains fragmented. With this project, the group which brings together nearly 285 independent stores in France also demonstrates the capacity of its cooperative model to support structuring initiatives internationally.

« In Mauritius, organic is still poorly structured even though demand is growing rapidly. With Naturespan, we offer an integrated model that combines products, advice and prevention, where the offer was until now scattered “, emphasizes Damien Adam, general director of the Naturespan branch.

From son côté, Eric Natali, president of Accord Biobelieves that “ Naturespan illustrates the ability of our members to carry out ambitious projects by relying on a solid cooperative model and a structured ecosystem, including internationally ».
