Doctor of international relations Mehdi Boukaouma indicated this Thursday that Algeria has moved up a gear in the implementation of its new foreign policy, focused in particular on the export of its expertise, and presents itself today as a locomotive of regional integration.
Invited to the last issue of the week of the program “The guest of the day” of Channel 3 of Algerian Radio to talk about the current news, in particular everything that revolves around the trans-Saharan gas pipeline project, Mr. Boukaouma first returned to the new policy Foreign from Algeria.
According to him, Algeria is the locomotive of regional integration. Explaining his remarks, the speaker recalled that Algeria has moved to the phase of exporting its expertise in the political and energy fields, such as electricity and oil, as well as other sectors, such as higher education, agriculture and health. Â Â
“All of this falls into the domain of Algeria’s new relations with its African and regional space. It is trying to breathe new life into regional relations and integration, especially in strategic areas for the future of Africa’s energy security and sovereignty,” he said before adding, drawing a parallel with another neighboring country. : “Algeria has always been stable and fixed in its position towards African countries. It’s stabilization, development and the socio-economic approach.”
To support his idea, Mr. Boukaouma cited as an example the Algerian-Nigerian solidarity electricity plant, inaugurated on Wednesday in Niamey. This aid, he maintains, will change the lives of a million people in Niger. It will also provide a boost to economic and social development. “This is true regional integration. We cannot achieve regional integration by exporting false ideas or false concepts,” he said.
Continuing his presentation, the doctor in international relations informs us that new energy routes have emerged, in relation to recent geopolitical upheavals. It also tells us that among these new energy routes, Algeria presents itself as one of the major players at the Mediterranean level, because it ensures energy security for international markets.
“With everything that is happening at the international level, Algeria has demonstrated that it is a secure supplier that masters the technology of energy, gas and oil and even electrical security,” he said.
