Arriving in France in 2015 at the LOU training center, Giorgi Javakhia has serious experience in Pro D2, where he played 133 matches, including 84 at Aurillac from 2018 to 2023, then 47 with Grenoble over the last three seasons. He also played 12 Top 14 and Champions Cup matches in Toulon, which he joined during the season last October.

The SA XV was looking for a player of his profile to compensate for the departures of Sikeli Nabou, who retired at the end of the season, and Ian Kitwanga, who joined Béziers.

A world rugby champion joins the SA XV

The SA XV announced the arrival of Grenoble winger Kaminieli Rasaku, world rugby sevens champion in 2022, for the next two seasons. The Fijian is the fifth recruit for the Charente club.

Giorgi Javakhia is the sixth recruit made official by the SA XV for next season, the second to arrive from the Top 14 after scrum half Gela Aprasidze (Perpignan), also a Georgian international. Suresnes left prop Elias Coulibaly, Rouen hooker and third row Mathieu Bonnot and Lucas Costa, as well as Grenoble winger Kaminieli Rasaku, complete the list.
