The American connected watch giant is unveiling two new entry-level watches this spring, marking a real turning point in Garmin’s accessible range. Both watches are equipped with a bright AMOLED screen and are equipped with the brand’s flagship functions: monitoring of heart rate variability (HRV), Body Battery, training status, etc.
Garmin Forerunner 70: a simple and accessible watch

Equipped with integrated GPS, the Forerunner 70 offers the essential functions for running: pace, distance duration as well as heart rate. It offers turnkey training suggestions that adapt to health and recovery metrics, which promises optimal preparation for upcoming races and sporting challenges. It is also possible to follow a training program using the Garmin Coach function.
The Garmin Human Performance Lab feature tracks your performance and progress in over eighty integrated sports like cycling, swimming, strength training, and more. But it’s not just performance that is monitored since general health status (sleep, respiratory variations, heart rate, pulse oximeter and lifestyle) is monitored 24/7 and keeps you connected thanks to intelligent notifications and LiveTrack.
The Garmin Forerunner 70 offers up to thirteen days of battery life in smartwatch mode and is available in trendy colors including lemon, lavender, black and white. It is already available on the Garmin website, at €249.99.
Garmin Forerunner 170: practical and precise

The Garmin Forerunner 170 is based on the Forerunner 70, but has a few additional features. It is notably equipped with a multi-band GPS, making it possible to significantly improve location accuracy, particularly in difficult areas. There is also a barometric altimeter, a compass and a gyroscope.
It also offers connected functions, starting with contactless payment, made possible thanks to Garmin Pay which allows you to make purchases from your wrist. A variation of this watch is also available. This is the Forerunner 170 Music, which allows you to download songs, podcasts and much more thanks to the music services available on the watch, in order to listen to them without having to take your phone with you.
The Forerunner 170 offers up to ten days of battery life in connected watch mode and is available in black with the black and yellow strap as well as white with the white and sky blue strap. The Forerunner 170 Music is also available in bright colors like teal green but also pinkish red.
