Basketball: success for the MCBB international tournament

It was this Thursday, May 13 from 6 p.m. that the basketball tournament, organized by the local club, began in brilliant fashion. It is true that it is a crack team and devilish technicians who got their hands on this organization: Alain Manchado, responsible for the tournament, the two co-presidents of this committee Valérye Coubris and Céline Touges, with the secretary Françoise Mathaly and more than 60 volunteers.

After Alain Manchado had opened this competition by giving all the details of these meetings and asking that sportsmanship, politeness and respect towards all, technique of course, fair play be at the heart of everyone, it was the parade of the teams which took place in the room. very well organized with the participation of all the teams in the tournament: Belleflamme (Belgium – near Liège), Denain Voltaire, AOS (Aisne-Oise-Somme selection), NTK (NewTownsKings, Paris region), Haute-Garonne girls selection, Haute-Garonne selection boys (two teams), Quercy-Garonne girls selection, Quercy-Garonne boys selection, MCBB girls, MCBB boys.

A heavy organization

After this perfect and good-natured parade, under the direction of Delphine, a competition on the different basketball actions, shots in all positions and phases of play. These very diverse actions gave a ranking rigorously maintained by Delphine and which will end with the finals on Saturday afternoon before the proclamation of the rankings and the awarding of rewards.

We must underline the hard work that this tournament required. It was necessary to receive 150 people housed at the high school boarding school and at the MFR, provide meals for 800 people prepared by the “Festivities” commission with 60 volunteers, all very well appreciated by all.

The club warmly thanks all the volunteers who lent a hand. He had the pleasure of welcoming Marie-France Cabos, municipal council delegate for sports, representing Mayor Romain Lopez to this opening of the tournament.
