The two winners of the 28th International Song Competition, Léontine Maridat-Zimmerlin and Louis Dechambre, will perform on the stage of the Clermont Opera for a piano-voice recital.
Clermont Auvergne Opéra invites the finalist duo of its last Singing Competition for a recital of melodies and lieder by Fauré, Mendelssohn, Tchaikovsky and Enesco. A program which covers classical music from the Romantic era and the beginning of the modern era.
This duo, made up of mezzo-soprano Léontine Maridat-Zimmerlin and pianist Louis Dechambre, represents the new generation of lyrical artists.
At just 26 years old, Léontine Maridat-Zimmerlin already has a well-established career in the lyrical world. She is the winner of several competitions: the Gordes International Mélodie Competition in 2022, the Georges Enesco Competition in Paris (2023) and the Young Espoirs Opéra Raymond Duffaut Competition. She was also nominated last March for the Victoires de la Musique Classique in the “Lyrical Revelation” category.
Louis Dechambre, a musician who cannot be more confirmed, does not escape prizes either, notably with the International Competition for Interpretation of French Melody of Toulouse and the Concours Musical de France. Prior to his activity as a pianist, he participates in the creation of projects combining arts and contemporary music, for example with the creation of the opera Junk food by Orlando Bass and a film concert for the Des Bobines et des Sons festival.
They are also the first piano-voice duo to have been rewarded during the 2025 edition of the Clermont International Singing Competition.
