The Minister of Industry and Trade, Ryad Mezzour, stated on Tuesday at the Chamber of Counselors that the national market supply situation for basic products remains “reassuring,” despite a strategic and geopolitical context marked by international tensions.

He specified that the Executive closely monitors this situation within the oversight commission, covering both energy products and essential food and industrial inputs. The minister indicated that, with the exception of a very limited number of products where solutions exist, the overall supply situation remains stable. However, he noted difficulties concerning certain products, especially fuels, as well as disruptions affecting certain food products due to weather conditions, with impacts on production in some regions.

Mezzour emphasized that the government is implementing measures to support citizens’ purchasing power and restore balance between production and supply. He acknowledged that the ongoing price increase continues to burden households, while affirming the Executive’s commitment to mitigate the effects.
