War in Ukraine: kyiv carried out a drone attack "on a large scale" about Moscow

Sheremetyevo airport, one of the capital’s main airports, was placed on air alert, prompting the evacuation of passengers and staff from terminals and planes to secure shelters.

These precautionary measures were lifted around 11 a.m. local time. The activity of the complex then began to return to normal. This is not the first time that the Ukrainian army has targeted the MNPZ refinery, belonging to Gazprom Neft and located in the southeastern suburbs of Moscow. Already, on Tuesday June 16, it was targeted by drones, forcing it to suspend its activity.

More than four years after the start of the conflict, which until now seems without a diplomatic outcome, the fighting between Russia and Ukraine is still just as deadly. While Vladimir Putin’s forces strike almost daily on its territory, kyiv has intensified its strikes on its neighbor, favoring hydrocarbon transport and storage infrastructure.
