Fighters of the Apachi unmanned systems battalion, together with other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, repelled a Russian mechanized offensive in the Slavyansk sector, one of the largest on this segment of the front.
The battalion announced the news on Telegram and published a video, reports Ukrinform.
Two enemy groups were advancing simultaneously on different axes: one from the Platonovka region towards Zakitne, the other from Siversk towards Kryva Luka.
Around fifty infantrymen took part in the assault. They also used 28 motorcycles, a tank, three infantry fighting vehicles and five cars.
“The number of equipment could not compensate for the essential: the total control of the battlefield by Ukrainian drone operators.â€emphasizes Apachi.
The battalion notes that no enemy group was able to reach the first Ukrainian defense line.
“This battle demonstrates once again that modern warfare is a war of technology, speed of decision-making and precise interaction between units. Where the enemy relies on numbers, Ukrainian defenders respond with precision, coordination and effective use of drones.”underlines the army.
As a reminder, on June 16, in the direction of Slaviansk, Russian troops tried to infiltrate the defenses near Zakitne, in the direction of Kryva Luka, Mykolaivka and Ray-Oleksandrivka.
