Seventh attack, seventh defense, seventh in the final ranking… We can say that the SUA is a “legitimate” seventh, to use the words of its manager Mauricio Reggiardo.
Could he hope for better? Yes, even if the eleven points difference in the standings with sixth place Brive could suggest the opposite. At home, we will regret the defeats against Oyonnax and Colomiers. Away, the Agenais could (should) have won in Biarritz, Dax, Soyaux-Angoulême or even Béziers.
So many points left on the way. Whatever the case, the Lot-et-Garonnais season remains a success compared to the last two years, which were quite trying. The SUA has found new momentum which will require confirmation next year.
Lucas Martins best try scorer in Pro D2
47 players were used by the Suaviste staff, and it was Lucas Martins who was most in demand (1,819 minutes), ahead of Julien Lebian (1,807 minutes) and Craig Willis (1,658 minutes). The Portuguese winger, with seventeen goals, managed to retain his place as top try scorer in Pro D2 ahead of former Agenais Clément Martinez (Biarritz) and Karim Qadiri (Oyonnax).
Quite a performance for the former Blagnac player, who also finished as the best crosser in the championship (twenty-seven crossings). English opener Craig Willis, for his part, finished sixth best points scorer in the championship with 202 points (87.36% success).

Agen 1st training in terms of offloads
Note that Agen is the Pro D2 team which has achieved, by far, the most “offloads” (passes after contact) (341), ahead of Grenoble (303) and Dax (287). Proof of this constant desire to keep the ball alive.
The SUA is, moreover, the second team in the championship which has broken the most tackles (708) behind Grenoble (709). In terms of discipline, the Agenais received a total of twenty-two yellow cards, three orange (Ramoka, Etcheverry and Fineanganofo) and two red (Madigan and Socino).
Finally, let us add that in terms of attendance, an average of 6,740 spectators came to Armandie this season. We will highlight the improvement at the end of the championship with the last three receptions exceeding 8,000 spectators. A trend to be confirmed at the start of next season.
