Banned from entering Canadian territory following accusations of rape and sexual assault for which he has yet to be tried, Thomas Partey received the support of his government. The Ghanaian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa, has in fact called for a review of this decision to allow the midfielder to participate in the first match of the Black Stars against Panama, on the night of Wednesday to Thursday in Toronto.  Ghana has sent an official note of protest demanding that Canada return to this « décision malheureuse »affirmed the latter.
