War in Ukraine: China trained Russian soldiers well in combat, according to the European Union

Several hundred Russian soldiers participated in Chinese People’s Liberation Army training programs at the end of 2025, before being sent to Ukraine.

A European Union official confirmed on Friday June 12 that China had trained hundreds of Russian soldiers, particularly in the use of drones, before some fought in Ukraine. “The training of Russian soldiers by the Chinese was confirmed by our services”he declared, on condition of anonymity, confirming press information.
