The Neyrpic hub of life and commerce is hosting, on Friday June 12 and Saturday June 13, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the very first edition of the Forum des Armées in the Grenoble area. For two days, the Army, the Navy and the Air and Space Force will meet the general public to present the diversity of their professions, training and commitment courses. The opportunity for great immersion in the world of Defense, to understand the missions, values and commitments of each corps and, above all, to exchange with representatives of the different armies.
An entertainment and recruitment space
The forum, to which access is free, is primarily aimed at young people aged 15 to 29 – and up to 32 years, depending on the armed forces – whatever their educational level: from third grade to bac +5 and beyond. Faced with significant recruitment needs (nearly 25,000 young people are recruited and trained each year), the armies are choosing to go directly to meet the inhabitants.
For two days, each army will offer an entertainment space to make the discovery immersive and concrete. Thus, the Air and Space Force will present its specialties alongside aviators from the Lyon Mont-Verdun air base, with Mirage 2000 simulators, podium and exhibition around the ejection seat. Among the professions to discover: air firefighter, air traffic controller or even specialist in computer support for aerial operations. The Army will highlight the professions of mountain combat with alpine hunters from the 7e Alpine hunter battalion, as well as a helicopter simulator. Beyond combat professions, visitors will also be able to explore careers in logistics, human resources or collective catering. Finally, the French Navy will present more than 80 professions (conduct of operations, cyber security, nuclear, intelligence…) with direct exchanges with sailors.
Advisors from Cirfa (Armed Forces Information and Recruitment Center) will be available without an appointment for individualized discussions on “discovery” internships, training, the operational reserve, career paths, as well as the Parcoursup systems for high school students undergoing orientation.
A space dedicated to recruitment will be set up where advisors will be present to answer questions about the selection processes as well as prospects for development. Whether it concerns technical, operational, administrative or support professions.
