Its objective is to bring together and support the reserve officers of the Air and Space Force. Founded on values of patriotism, camaraderie and dedication, it works to promote the spirit of defense and maintain strong links between the reserve and the active forces.
Friday June 5, a ceremony was organized on BA 106 in honor of the centenary of Anoraae, under the presidency of Air Corps General Stéphane Groén, and in the presence of Colonel Yann Lefebvre, base commander air force, the Bordeaux Air Force Band, and numerous civil and military personalities.
Six médailles
Six medals were awarded by General Groén and Colonel Lefebvre on this occasion: the military medal to two majors, the national defense medal in silver to a lieutenant-colonel, the medal of volunteer reservists for defense and internal security at gold level to a reserve lieutenant-colonel and a reserve captain, and the bronze medal for youth, sports and community involvement to Alain Couranton. A chief sergeant was also congratulated for the excellence of his work, and a lieutenant for his exceptional commitment.
General GroÓread the agenda for the 100th anniversary of Anoraae and recalled the many projects that have seen the light of day: “The reserve is not an ornament but a necessity. The Air Force needs you and it knows it can count on you.”
