Direction: Office of the Commissioner / Published on: June 8, 2026
On Thursday, May 21, 2026, the School of Specialties of the Commissariat of the Armed Forces (ESCA) received Major General Etienne du Peyroux, deputy to the director of the Human Resources Directorate of the Army (DRHAT). A dense visit, placed under the sign of human resources, training and dialogue between the DRHAT and the Armed Forces Commission.

An immersion in the heart of the school
Welcomed in the morning by the director of ESCA for the colors ceremony and a review of the troops, General du Peyroux was able to tour the school in all its components. From human resources/administration companies (HR/ADM) to supply management workshops (GAP), including the Catering Education Center (CER) and the field kitchen, the visit offered a complete panorama of the establishment’s training capabilities. The sports facilities were also presented, testifying to the importance given to physical fitness in the trainees’ journey and in particular for the FS2 trainees of the army who have benefited since this year from a system in favor of reathletics.

Earth instructors at the heart of exchanges
Highlight of the day, the meeting with the Land instructors was a privileged moment of direct exchanges between one of the highest authorities of the Army and the executives who transmit know-how and interpersonal skills on a daily basis. These interactions made it possible to concretely illustrate the value of educational face-to-face interaction, a trademark of ESCA, in professions where rigor and precision of professional gesture are essential.

Educational innovation and modernity
The educational section presented its latest developments, between visual supports, demonstrations of edutainment and a presentation of a film on the typical student. Particular attention was paid to the training of the trainer and his follow-up in the school. So many examples that illustrate the school’s ability to evolve its approaches while preserving the excellence of its field training.

An exchange concluded in the spirit of service
This visit made it possible to bring directly to the DRHAT the issues specific to the school of specialties of the Commissariat of the Armed Forces (infrastructure, human resources, training) and to reaffirm the unique place of the school in the service of the armed forces
