“It’s not your country, it’s ours (…) You don’t have to intervene in our country.”launched the Lebanese leader to Iran. “Hezbollah must understand that there (is) no other solution than to sit down and talk, no other way (…) to save what is left except through negotiation and diplomacy.”he added.
3:26 p.m. – Lebanon does not want to serve as a “means of pressure” on Iran
Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on Friday urged Iran to stop using his country as a « moyen de pression » in discussions with the United States to end the war in the Middle East. “If I can say one word to Iran, it is this: have pity on our south, stop treating it (…) as a means of pressure aimed at improving the terms of your negotiationsâ€at-il déclaré.
Tehran demands that any agreement with Washington include an end to hostilities on the Lebanese front, where Israel is fighting pro-Iranian Hezbollah.
3:20 p.m. – Ben Gvir and Smotrich banned from Irish territory
The Irish government announced that it had banned Israeli Ministers of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir and Finance Bezalel Smotrich, two figures of the far right in Israel, from entering its territory, and called for sanctions at EU level.
This decision was made due to their “Decisive role in the escalation of the ongoing catastrophe in Gaza”indicated the Irish Ministry of Justice.
This announcement comes as within the European Union, Italy and Spain demanded in May the establishment of sanctions against the Israeli Minister of National Security, after the broadcast of a video showing the brutal treatment he inflicted on foreign activists of the “Gaza Flotilla” after their arrest at sea by Israel.
France announced on May 23 a similar measure banning Itamar Ben Gvir from its territory.

The Iranian army said it fired “Warning missiles” against two American ships in the Arabian Sea, after skirmishes in the Gulf this week which weakened the ceasefire in force with the United States since April 8.
In a press release relayed by the government press agency Irna, she asserts that “Hostile destroyers DDG-103 and DDG-8 left the Arabian Sea heading towards the Indian Ocean (…) following warning missile firingsâ€on a date which is not specified. Iran is blocking the strategic Strait of Hormuz, in retaliation for the Israeli-American offensive launched against its territory on February 28, the starting point for a regional extension of the conflict.
1:18 p.m. – Hezbollah ready to withdraw from South Lebanon in the event of an agreement
Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, an ally of pro-Iranian Hezbollah, raised for the first time the possibility that the movement would leave the south if Israel withdraws from Lebanon and a global truce is concluded.
“I accept the withdrawal of Hezbollah from southern Litani in parallel with the withdrawal of Israel”as well as a ceasefire “Global and sans conditions”said in a press release Nabih Berri, who plays the role of intermediary with Hezbollah.

A young Palestinian was killed by Israeli fire in the center of the occupied West Bank, the Palestinian Authority announced, with the Israeli army saying it had killed a person who threw Molotov cocktails at vehicles Israelis.

“Repeated displacement, insufficient accommodation capacity and limited prospects of safe return compound vulnerability.”indicated Ocha. The UN agency warns that “Affected people are rapidly exhausting their coping capacities and essential services are under increasing pressure.”.
The UN requested $308 million in March to support a vast emergency response led by the Lebanese government until the end of May. On Friday, she estimated that an additional $331.5 million would be needed through the end of August.
10:31 a.m. – UN fears global hunger crisis
The scenario of a record worsening of food insecurity around the world in the event of protracted conflict in the Middle East is becoming a reality, the UN warned on Friday.

Colonel Avichay Adraee, Arabic-speaking spokesperson for the Israeli army, called on the population to evacuate this town between the cities of Tire and Saida, as well as six other localities after a similar call earlier in the morning for three villages.

The Israeli army announced that it would target the pro-Iranian Hezbollah movement in three locations in southern Lebanon and called on the population of these villages north of the Litani River to evacuate.
The call to evacuate concerns the villages of Arqoun, Aarnaya, and Kfar Fila, about forty kilometers south of Beirut, according to the message published on social networks by Colonel Avichay Adraee, Arabic-speaking spokesperson for the Israeli army.
An ally of Iran, Hezbollah rejected Thursday through the voice of its leader, Naïm Qassem, the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon announced the day before in Washington, demanding a total withdrawal of Israeli forces from the south of the country and threatening the north of Israel with new attacks.
8:57 a.m. – Seven dead in Israeli strikes in Lebanon
Israeli nighttime strikes on the city of Tyre, in southern Lebanon, killed seven people, a civil defense source said.
A strike near the Jabal Amel hospital left four dead and seven injured, slightly damaging the facility. Another attack killed three people and injured five others, including two children, according to this source.
