The Federation of Defense Clubs is offering a superb exhibition of 400 works by Defense artists and guests of honor. To be seen from Thursday at the market station.
The Federation of Defense Clubs is the heir to the Federal Union of National Defense and Armed Forces Clubs, which in 1959 had 29 clubs and 7,600 members! In 1966, it became the Federal Union of Armed Forces Sports and Artistic Clubs. After a change of status, in 1992, it took the name of Federation of Defense Sports and Artistic Clubs. Today it has 430 clubs for 150,000 members spread across mainland France, overseas and abroad. The FCD is approved by the Ministry of Sports, a member of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) since 1993 and recognized as being of public utility by Ordinance 2015-904 of July 23, 2015.
The federation welcomes into its clubs the entire defense community: soldiers from each army, direction or service and the gendarmerie; civilian personnel of the Ministry of the Armed Forces, joined by their families and people from outside defense as part of the Army-Nation link.
It is as part of its cultural activities that the Occitanie league is organizing its 12th cultural meeting of the Occitanie and Nouvelle-Aquitaine leagues in Montauban, from June 1 to June 7, 2026, station market hall.
Strengthen links between associations
This cultural meeting brings together participants from several regions around the discovery of local heritage and cultural exchanges.
This event offers a program with the aim of promoting the history and traditions of the territory. It also makes it possible to strengthen the links between the different associations affiliated with the federation.
Over the years, this meeting has established itself as a meeting appreciated by members, promoting conviviality, sharing of experiences and cultural openness.
This event will host more than 400 works divided into three salons, the art crafts fair, the army amateur photography fair and the painting and sculpture fair with several guests of honor, Maurice Barro, Michèle and Daniel Bolhy, Estelle Cassani, Claudine Dardaillon, Mélanie Lesage, Cindy Roch and Jean Pierre Viguier.
