The Israeli army reported rocket fire from Lebanon on Monday, shortly after Hezbollah announced it had carried out 21 attacks against Israeli military targets in the past 24 hours.
The Israeli channel Channel 12 and the daily Yedioth Ahronoth reported that warning sirens sounded in the town of Tiberias and its surroundings after the detection of rockets crossing the border from Lebanon.
In a statement, the Israeli army indicated that three rockets had been fired in the direction of the Upper Galilee, specifying that two of them had been intercepted, while the results of attempts to intercept the third were still under review.
On Sunday, four people were injured after a drone launched from Lebanon struck the settlement of Beit Hillel in northern Israel, according to Israeli channel Channel 12.
The incident came after Hezbollah announced a series of operations targeting Israeli forces and military positions on Sunday.
In several separate statements, the movement claimed that its fighters had targeted Israeli forces in southern Lebanon using rockets and artillery shells, reporting direct strikes.
Hezbollah also indicated that it had fired a surface-to-air missile against an Israeli Hermes 450 drone over southern Lebanon.
The group then announced that it had carried out 21 operations in the space of 24 hours against Israeli soldiers, military vehicles and army positions in southern Lebanon and northern Israel.
Israel continues its attacks against Lebanon despite a ceasefire that came into force on April 17, then extended for 45 days from May 17 following indirect negotiations carried out under American mediation.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, Israeli attacks carried out since March 2 have left more than 3,400 dead across the country.
