Throughout the day, the students discovered different professions in the Air and Space Force through several meetings organized on the air base. The cadets notably interacted with pilots and rescue divers from the 1/44 “Solenzara” helicopter squadron, equipped with Puma helicopters, who presented their operational missions to them as well as the specificities of their daily commitment.
The participants also met the air firefighters of BA 126 in order to discover their prevention, protection and intervention missions on the air base. This immersion was completed by the presence of pilots from the 3/67 “Parisis” helicopter squadrons of the BA 107 of Villacoublay and the 1/65 “Alpilles” of the BA 115 from Orange-Caritat, temporarily deployed on the base as part of a shooting campaign.

Sports activities to strengthen cohesion
The afternoon gave way to sporting activities, at the heart of this sports-army-youth day. Divided into teams, the students participated in several workshops combining physical effort, team spirit and surpassing oneself on your own: laser shooting, firefighter course and stretcher-lifting workshops.
Through these activities, the cadets were able to develop their cohesion and discover several values carried by the armies such as solidarity, commitment and a sense of collectiveness. The day concluded with a diploma presentation rewarding their involvement throughout this experience.

A day inscribed in the army-Nation link
Organized each year on different military sites, the army-youth sports days are part of a desire to strengthen the link with the armies and youth through sporting practice and discovery of the military world. Established as part of the interministerial framework agreement of March 4, 2014, they allow participants to share moments of cohesion while discovering the values carried by the armies.
This day also highlighted the civil security cadet system. Created around ten years ago, this course offers young people awareness of the professions of rescue, civil security and civic engagement. Through different activities and training, students develop their civic spirit, their sense of responsibility as well as their knowledge of first aid and emergency situations.
