School violence in Toulouse: the trial of the accused mother was postponed due to lack of representation of minor victims. Released under judicial control, she remains prohibited from approaching Clémence-Isaure college.

Five days after a mother, Fatma, and her two children entered armed Clémence-Isaure college, Saint-Cyprien district in Toulouse, and attacked two schoolgirls as well as a supervisor, the emotion does not seem to be fell.

The mise en cause sweeps her away

After spending the weekend in pre-trial detention, the accused, aged 44, was to be tried in immediate appearance at the Toulouse criminal court this Monday.

Present at the hearing were the director of the college as well as the lawyer for the supervisor whom the defendant also attacked, Me Jocelyn Momasso Momasso.

Victims at the heart of the debates

However, when the debates had just opened, President Géraud Saint-Supéry was surprised by the absence of minor victims. “Why have we not appointed an ad hoc administrator?” asks the magistrate.

For the latter, as well as for the assessor judges, this absence is likely to harm the interests of the children. The court therefore ordered the trial to be postponed to a later date.

No locker

The absence of any convictions in Fatma’s criminal record, as well as the guarantees of representation presented by her lawyer, Me Ismaël Meziti, led the court to release the young woman and place her under judicial control.

She must, until June 18, take up residence with her partner in Rochefort (Charente-Maritime). Any contact with the victims is prohibited. She cannot, moreover, go to the area around Clémence-Isaure college.
