Iran presents its plan to Pakistani mediator, aiming to permanently end the imposed war, explained the Iranian vice minister of Foreign Affairs.

Tehran believes “the ball is in the US court”. Iranian diplomacy is ready, on Saturday, May 2, to resume the war or prioritize diplomacy to end the conflict with Washington. “Iran has presented its plan to the Pakistani mediator, aiming to permanently end the imposed war,” declared the vice minister of Foreign Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi. The US “must choose between the path of diplomacy or the pursuit of a confrontational approach,” he added.

Donald Trump claims that “hostilities” against Iran are “over”. The Republican assured, in a letter to US lawmakers, that hostilities against Iran are “over” due to the current ceasefire. He states compliance with the law requiring the US president to obtain congressional authorization to extend a conflict beyond sixty days.

A fragile ceasefire. An Iranian official believes that a “resumption of conflict between Iran and the United States is likely,” as Donald Trump rejected Tehran’s latest proposal to restart negotiations with Washington. “The facts have shown that the US did not keep any promises or agreements,” reacted the deputy inspector of the Khatam Al-Anbiya armed forces command, cited by the Fars news agency.

The US president is “unsatisfied” with the new Iranian proposal. Donald Trump said Friday he was “unsatisfied” with the latest Iranian attempt to restart negotiations, two months after the start of the war. Facing the press, he judged that Iranian leaders were “disjointed” and incapable of agreeing on an exit strategy from the conflict.

Israeli strikes kill 13 in Lebanon. Israeli strikes on southern Lebanon killed at least 13 people on Friday, reported the Lebanese Ministry of Health. The day before, 17 people were killed in strikes on the South, where the Israeli army established a 10 km depth zone from the border, forbidden access to the press and civilians, conducting demolition operations.
