In view of next season, Olympique Lyonnais wants to reinforce its central defense. In this perspective, the Gones would have targeted a young Dutch talent.
Last summer, Ruben Kluivert signed for Lyon from the Portuguese club Casa Pia. The Dutch prodigy committed to OL for five years, until June 30, 2030, in a transfer estimated at €3.78 million.
A year later, OL could repeat this type of transfer. According to Transferfeed, the French club is on the trail of Melayro Bogarde. The 23-year-old player currently plays for Linz ASK in the Austrian league.
The right-back has a solid frame (around 72-78 kg) and is known for his ability to properly restart play. All this with his defensive versatility, as the talent can also play in a defensive midfield position.
Arriving at Linz ASK in July 2024, Melayro Bogarde is under contract until May 2028.
A die-hard Barcelona fan, I started my career as a journalist in 2015. I covered the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar among others. As a football match commentator, I have recently developed a taste for the EuroLeague Basketball, where my favorite player is Facundo Campazzo.
