The Fœodale attracted many sports enthusiasts and history lovers on Sunday in Vignory.

In Vignory, the Fœodale hike once again delivered on its promises. On Sunday, May 17, the History and Heritage association brought together hiking and mountain biking enthusiasts for an event that has become a well-established blend of sports activities and local heritage exploration.

Under a clear sky, 115 participants set off. Among them were 43 walkers and 72 cycling enthusiasts, spread out over various distances: three cyclists on the 22 km route, 35 on the 31 km route, 30 on the 48 km route, as well as four gravel riders.

Circuits applauded by cyclists

Cyclists unanimously praised the quality of the circuits, which were exceptionally well-prepared. The dry, rolling terrain allowed for a smooth pace. This result was made possible thanks to the commitment of volunteers who had been working for weeks to clean the trails and their surroundings. The walkers also had their share. Some sections followed the single-track paths of the mountain biking routes, offering varied passages and appreciated views of the village and its surroundings. In terms of organization, the refreshment stops were generous, and at the finish, participants enjoyed a gourmet space offering pizzas, cakes, pastries, and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.

At the end of the day, around fifteen volunteers gathered for a barbecue to conclude this successful edition. The association is already looking forward to next year’s edition.
