The timing of the Champions League final on May 30 at 6 p.m. was going to prevent clubs from the Regional 1 and Regional 2 leagues from watching the duel between Arsenal and PSG. The Normandy Football League has decided to rearrange the final day of these leagues so as not to deprive them of the European spectacle.

The unique timing of the Champions League Final (6 p.m. on Saturday, May 30) has led the Normandy Football League to adjust the schedule of its R1 and R2 leagues. In a statement released on Friday, May 15, the LFN explains that “This exceptional event is generating legitimate excitement among licensees, coaches, officials, referees, and football enthusiasts. Mindful of the numerous requests expressed by Normandy clubs, and in order to maintain the regularity and fairness of its competitions, the League has chosen to adapt its schedule.”

Therefore, the final day of Regional 1 has been moved up to Friday, May 29, 2026 at 7:30 p.m., while the final day of Regional 2 has been postponed to Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. This adjustment will allow amateur clubs in R1 and R2 to watch the Final between PSG and Arsenal and “fully experience this major European football event.”
