The popularity of Etoile Sportive Fossatoise, football section, has never waned; on the contrary, it increases year after year like its team 1.

For proof, the great festive evening that brought together partners, supporters, players, managers obviously, and then all those who like to combine conviviality, sharing, paella (for this time) and rock with Kroq’notes. An evening of celebration open to everyone after a match quickly settled against Launaguet (4-0) which gives balm, if not in the heart, at least in the legs. And certainly gives voice to President Christian Gros: “Next week, a big final awaits us against Lavernose for promotion to Regional 2 and I hope that you will be even more numerous to support our colors, so come on the yellow and greens!”

The club thus signs an exemplary season which is particularly hailed by Gerard Gonzalés, president of the Ariège football district, accompanied by David Béret, departmental technical adviser. The latter took advantage of the evening to present to Stéphanie Tapie, president of GFAL, Arize-Lèze Football Grouping, the departmental label 2025-2026 rewarding all the work done with young people through their educational actions. “The objective is to train the citizens of tomorrow, but also to convey the message that football is not just a match between two teams, it is also a football school where there is education; that’s why we wanted to associate with it and honor not just one person, but all the people who work tirelessly throughout the year for this group.”

A grouping that, despite the initial stumbling blocks, celebrates its four years today and sees its future illuminated by this recognition. A future like in the past and for many years supported by its 173 members, its 14 educators, its 23 managers, and now by its 3 minibuses. And a general excitement from the population. So don’t forget! Everyone at Versailles stadium on Saturday, May 16th, 8 pm.
