On May 17, the World Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia is organized. On this occasion, the slogan of the French National Olympic and Sports Committee, “Sport Brings Together,” confirms the commitment of the Sports Movement to a diverse, respectful, and inclusive sport, where everyone finds their place.

In this regard, the Regional Olympic and Sports Committee of the Center-Val de Loire region acts daily to materialize this vision through actions, gatherings, and training that promote equality, respect, and inclusivity for all.

Concrete actions for an inclusive sport were taken in October 2925, when the Cros organized a conference of league presidents where they were invited to participate in an online survey on sexual discrimination in sports in partnership with the Groupe Action Gay et Lesbien Loiret (GAGL45).

On March 13, 2026, the CROS organized a training session on the theme “Gender Identity, Sexual Identity, and Sports Practice” for 50 ethical referees from leagues and regional committees. Facilitated by GAGL45, this session fostered enriching exchanges between participants and the trainer to improve sports supervisors’ responses to be tailored, caring, and free from discrimination towards the athletes they accompany.
