A sports teacher caught by a famous streamer specializing in tracking pedocriminals on Monday, May 11, was placed in provisional detention on Wednesday. At 66 years old, he had already been convicted in 2005 for possession of child pornography images.
A former sports teacher caught online by a streamer tracking pedocriminals was placed in provisional detention and indicted, announced the Vesoul prosecutor, Arnaud Grécourt, on Thursday.
The 66-year-old suspect, previously convicted in 2025 for possession of child pornography images, was indicted for “manufacturing and disseminating violent, pornographic, or contrary messages to the dignity accessible to a minor” and “sexual propositions made to a minor (under) fifteen years of age by an adult.”
He went to the Vesoul police station on Tuesday, after being caught by Finnyzyy, a streamer specializing in trapping “predators” on the internet.
Caught live by a streamer
The streamer disguised his voice and appearance using artificial intelligence to pose as a 14-year-old girl.
During their thirty-minute conversation broadcast live on Monday night, he made advances to the fake teenager, enticing her with an invitation to go see a PSG match.
He asked to see her, and when his image appeared, he said: “It’s nice to see a pretty young girl.” As the conversation progressed, he asked for “nudes” (nude photos), suggested they “kiss,” or offered to show her his genitals. To the latter proposition, he heard in response, “I’m 14 years old!” “So what?” he retorted immediately.
The sexagenarian’s face, although blurred, is identifiable several times in the video, which went viral after its release.
Previously convicted for possession of child pornography images
In January 2025, this former official of the National Union of School Sports in Haute-Saône was sentenced to 18 months of suspended prison for possession and dissemination of child pornography images. However, he was acquitted of sexual assault and corruption of a minor for which he was also prosecuted.
His sentence includes a prohibition on engaging in any professional or volunteer activity involving regular contact with minors, the prosecutor explained. His computer equipment was seized to be analyzed by the police.
