The Red Star FC learned with immense sadness the passing of Fleury Di Nallo, who died at the age of 83. An emblematic figure of French football and a legend of Olympique Lyonnais, he also wore the colors of Red Star in the 1974-1975 season, the last season of the club in Ligue 1.

Nicknamed the “Little Prince of Gerland,” Fleury Di Nallo will remain one of the greatest forwards in the history of French football, the all-time leading scorer of Olympique Lyonnais with 222 goals in the Lyon jersey.

In Saint-Ouen, Fleury Di Nallo joined his former teammate Nestor Combin to reform, wearing the audonien jersey, one of the most striking offensive duos of their generation. Ten years after their triumph in the Coupe de France with OL, the two men were reunited for half a season wearing the green and white colors. Despite the efforts of the duo, Red Star FC failed to secure their place at the end of that season, notably sealed in a match against Lyon. On the occasion of his return to Gerland, Fleury Di Nallo even scored the final goal of his career in Division 1.

His time at Red Star FC remains a memory of an immense competitor and a man deeply respected by all those who crossed his path. The club extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends, loved ones, former teammates, and the entire Lyon and French football community.
