On the occasion of the penultimate day of the district championship, on Sunday, April 26, the senior women’s team of Luc Football Club hosted their counterpart from Limoux for a crucial match. The objective was clear: not to lose in order to maintain a precious 3rd place in the standings. Led by their captain Élodie Guihéneux, the players from Luc made a strong start to the match. Serious, focused, and tactically well-positioned, they were able to set the pace from the first minutes. Their efforts were rewarded before halftime, with the opening goal (1-0). A convincing first half, both in commitment and game control. However, after the break, the scenario became complicated. Through a twist of fate, Limoux managed to equalize following a deflected ball. The match ended in a draw (1-1), a result that, while leaving a slight taste of unfinished business considering the chances, still allows the Luc women to fulfill their main objective: Luc Football Club maintains its 3rd place in the standings and remains firmly on the podium approaching the final day. An encouraging performance.
