The reigning European champions, the Club Sportif des Sourds de Reims, have been defending their title in Turkey since Monday at the 2026 Deaf Champion’s League. Following a successful start against the Turkish club Karsiyaka, the British club DFC Barnet fell to the collective power of Reims. Already qualified for the next stage of the competition, the Pandas will finish the group stage this Wednesday against the Germans from GSG Stuttgart.

This time, CSSR is expected to perform. And so far, they have lived up to the expectations. After becoming European champions at home, exactly a year ago in a suspenseful match against the Greek team POK Athens, the Reims players didn’t face much difficulty on Monday and Tuesday in the 2026 edition of the European deaf cup in Manisa, Turkey. Competing in Group C, the Reims team kicked off their European campaign with a victory against Karsiyaka (5-1).

Strengthened by several Japanese players, like last season, the Reims team confirmed their prowess on Tuesday against the British team Barnet (8-0), with Maxim Brenneliere scoring a hat-trick. With their qualification secured for the next stage, the Reims team will face another challenge in the group stage tomorrow against Stuttgart at 3 pm French time.
