The French Football Federation organized the 2026 edition of the Futsal Hopefuls competition at Clairefontaine over the weekend, aiming to identify tomorrow’s talents through a national program of detection and support.

Soen Dos Santos Ferreira (US Thionville Lusitanos) for outfield players and Morgan Grac (Toulon Metropole Futsal) for goalkeepers were the winners of the second edition of the Futsal Hopefuls competition, launched last season by the FFF. The final brought together thirty-two U14-U15 boys on Saturday, April 25, and Sunday, April 26, at Clairefontaine National Football Center in Yvelines.

After two half-days of technical, tactical, and athletic assessments supervised by federal teams in the Michel-Muffat-Joly gymnasium, the winners of this new promotion were announced.

The winners were as follows: Outfield Players: 1. Soen Dos Santos Ferreira (US Thionville Lusitanos / Grand Est) 2. Liam Gosset Lassalle (Issole Futsal / Mediterranean) 3. Kahil El Harrak (SC Bastia / Corsica)

Goalkeepers: 1. Morgan Grac (Toulon Metropole Futsal / Mediterranean) 2. Marwane Essaber (CA Pontarlier / Bourgogne FC) 3. Sacha Allegaert (FAN 96 / Hauts-de-France) 4. Noe Touze (Angers SCO / Pays de la Loire)

Participants from the thirteen regional leagues of Metropolitan France and three Overseas territories (Guadeloupe, Guyane, and Réunion) were divided at the end of four workshops. They underwent four technical tests, an evaluation around the Federal Educational Program (PEF), a 3 x 3 tournament, and 5 x 5 futsal matches.

The program aims to support young talents in their progress, in collaboration with leagues, clubs, and federal structures, as part of the development strategy for the discipline. It plays a crucial role in the path to reaching the highest level, alongside the Lyon-based Futsal France Pole and national youth selections.
