In Nogent, the 3rd graders at Baudon-Rostand are benefiting from a unique sports partnership during the 2025-2026 school year. Accompanied by their teacher, they are learning judo and table tennis at local clubs to explore the values of effort and solidarity.
In Nogent, the 3rd graders at Baudon-Rostand School are enjoying a varied and enriching sports program this year. Thanks to a close collaboration between their teacher, Antonio Gil-Léon, and local clubs, the children are discovering the values of sports at the heart of their city. The school year 2025-2026 is particularly dynamic for the two 3rd-grade classes.
The commitment of volunteers enhances learning
After starting the year with a swimming immersion at the Palestra center in Chaumont, the students returned to Nogent’s facilities to explore new sports. After Christmas break, the Judo club of Nogent welcomed the young athletes. By generously opening the doors of their dojo, the club allowed the students to learn about this well-known martial art from their teacher. To ensure a complete immersion, the club provided judogis and belts, offering optimal practice conditions for the children.
More recently, racket sports took over. The table tennis club mobilized to offer quality initiation during physical education and sports sessions. The commitment of volunteers was remarkable because, at each session, no less than six tables, robots, and recovery nets were set up for the students. Under the watchful eye of the club’s monitor, responsible for Friday evening supervision, the workshops followed one after the other, allowing each child to progress technically thanks to the feedback and advice from association members. The success of such projects relies on human commitment above all. The 3rd graders and Antonio Gil-Léon wish to express their deep gratitude to the Judo club of Nogent and its president for their hospitality and equipment support. They also thank the table tennis club, its president, and particularly Cédric, Daniel, and Bruno for their exemplary availability and valuable assistance in logistics and supervision.
This is a beautiful educational project that deserves to be highlighted!
