Arthur Fils confirms his return to the forefront with his first tournament victory since 2024, a month before Roland Garros. Published on 20/04/2026 at 10:13, Arthur Fils climbed five spots in the ATP rankings to reach 25th place globally, becoming the number one French player once again, surpassing Arthur Rinderknech (26th) as the Masters 1000 in Madrid begins.

Carlos Alcaraz, who withdrew due to injury before his second-round in Barcelona where he was a finalist, lost ground to Jannik Sinner. Despite Alexander Zverev’s third-place ranking after his semifinal in Munich, Alcaraz comfortably holds onto his second place, with a significant lead over the German player.

The latest ATP rankings as of April 20, 2026 are led by Jannik Sinner (ITA), followed by Carlos Alcaraz (ESP) and Alexander Zverev (GER). Arthur Fils has moved up to 25th place, while Arthur Rinderknech is now 26th. Further French ranks include Corentin Moutet (30th), Ugo Humbert (34th), Adrian Mannarino (46th), Terence Atmane (47th), and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard (53rd).
