The multiplex of the 34th and final day of the Ligue 2 BKT championship, scheduled for Saturday, May 9, 2026, has seen its time slot changed.
Recently announced, the sprint finale of the Ligue 2 championship must end with the 34th and final day of the regular phase, planned as a multiplex. However, there has been a minor programming change.
The official website of the competition indeed announced the kickoff time change for this final multiplex: originally set at 5:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 9, 2026, it will now be held at 8:00 p.m. This is also the schedule for the penultimate season event, also in multiplex format, on Saturday, May 2.
The competition explains that this decision was made “following the delay of the multiplex of the 33rd matchday of Ligue 1 McDonald’s to Sunday, May 10.” This choice was made “in agreement with beIN Sports and the Ligue 2 board.”
Due to the PSG and Strasbourg reaching the semi-finals of C1 and C4, the scheduling of the end of the Ligue 1 season has been reviewed. The 33rd matchday multiplex was supposed to take place on Saturday, May 9 at 9:00 p.m., but will now be held one day later, leaving the evening slot to Ligue 2 for its final regular season episode.
The updated schedule for Rodez Aveyron football until the end of the regular season is as follows:
– Laval vs. Rodez on Friday, April 24 at 8:00 p.m. – Rodez vs. Saint-Etienne on Saturday, May 2 at 8:00 p.m. – Annecy vs. Rodez on Saturday, May 9 at 8:00 p.m.
On the occasion of the 34th matchday of Ligue 2, starting at 8:00 p.m., on Saturday, May 9, Rodez will be playing in Annecy. With a potential top 5 position after their victory over Amiens on Friday night, Rodez could compete for a playoff spot, reminiscent of their success in spring 2024 when they finished fourth.
Paul-Lignon had experienced a decisive match against Paris FC, won by his team in a legendary penalty shootout (2-2, 3-2 tab). The thrilling Aveyron adventure ended three days later on the field of Saint-Etienne (2-0).
