At 69 years old, Claude Onesta has experienced almost everything in the world of sports. From teaching physical education for six years to his five-year term as head of high performance at the National Sports Agency (ANS) created in 2019 with the goal of seeing France shine at the Paris 2024 Olympics – to his tremendous success as coach of the French handball team for 15 years – the Albigeois has plenty of experience and convictions. In his book “Performer – The Method” (editions Michel Lafon), Onesta reflects on the “mission” entrusted to him since 2017 to take the French team as high as possible in the City of Light, resulting in 64 Olympic medals and 75 at the Paralympics.
