The small music festival that awakens the ears resists crises. He returns, Friday June 26 and Saturday June 27, to the site of Château Monplaisir, in Prigonrieux (Dordogne). It has even gained notoriety and attracts international groups.
This is the case of the Portuguese Maquina., “a group that is exploding” or the Nigerian rapper Aunty Rayzor. “She was at the Rio Loco festival in Toulouse and will be at the Nuits Sonores in Lyon next year,” specifies the president. “She comes with her DJ from Uganda. They are starting their European tour with us. She has a pretty incredible flow.”
Always more eclectic
In the angry hip-hop style, we will also mention the Nigerian Kabeaushé. “He too has been to major festivals. He has a very big energy on stage, which people are perhaps not used to. A bit as if Michael Jackson had taken a supercharged cocktail.”
We can also cite Lionstorm, from the Netherlands, “a thoroughly queer-LGBT duo, which mixes hip-hop, rap and punk” but also the group Zonbi and its “jazz-voodoo-Haitian post-punk”, or even the trance of the Swiss Yalla Miku. There will also be some Périgords, like Octave Brand and his lego synthesizers or even DJ Poli.
For the site, “we made even more effort on the layout and decoration, which are a bit of our trademark,” promises the president.
In terms of prices, entry has increased by a few euros to cover the costs (weekend pass, 25 euros to 35 euros; day pass, 12 euros to 23 euros; free for children under 12). Children have not been forgotten, with circus shows.
